These are the Sillys

Ruby brought these to me the other
day, she said "Mommy you are gonna
think these are so silly".
They were all wrapped up in a paper
towel like a present.
I really love them, they are so silly.

Happy Halloween!

(Sorry this picture is the best I had)

Bat Wade
taken yesterday.

Sadly, Wade's costume never
made it trick or treating.
He was so sick he didn't even care.
He did wear it the entire day and even insisted
on napping with the boots on for both of
the 2 hour naps he took today.

Ruby made sure she brought
home lots of candy for him.

Hope everyone had a happy and safe night.

Pumkin Patch'd Out

Last week I went to the pumpkin patch
twice. Once with Ruby's class and once with
Wade's class. For Ruby's trip we road
on the school bus and I was the parent
in charge of Ruby and her friend.

Here they are on the hayride.
Yellow class bandannas on head to keep
then safe and color coded.
Grade schools are so organized.
They have it done to a science.

Ruby's class picture.

Wade's class pic.

It I hadn't been sick on Sunday it
would have been my third trip of the week.
The kids went with family on Sunday.
I think it is safe to say I am done till next year.

Dress for Ruby

I fell in love with this little dress pattern
I found on Etsy. Of course it was in
Japanese...

Then I found this fabric that I knew
Ruby would love.

I was surprised at how large the
Japanese 8 turned out.
Sometimes I wish American patterns
were half as cute as the Japanese ones.
Or that they were translated into English.
I guess it is part of the challenge.
The good thing is when you do one
in English it sure seems easy.

A special gift

Great Grandma Roz sent Ruby this little
sewing machine for her birthday.
It was hers when she was a girl.
She received it as a gift from her cousin in 1927!

Ruby and I threaded it up and worked
on our first project today.

Here are our completed vest and
legwarmers for Wade's bunny.

Thanks so much Roz!
This gift will be well loved
in our house.

Next up
undies, a hat, and
a bow tie for bunny.

6!

6! And this is the reason why we needed
toothy toothy so badly. We are now minus 3
baby teeth.

toothy toothy

A very sweet mommy friend (aka Caroline) knitted this
up for Ruby for her birthday. It has a little knitted
pocket on the back to put your tooth in.
I don't know who loves this more, them or me.
Wade lovingly named it toothy toothy
(pronounced toofy toofy).
