I knew it was going to happen sooner or later...

I have always wondered when our first trip to
the emergency room would be.
I tried not to think about it too much but
when you are a parent you know it is most likely going
to happen. Especially when you have two kids.
You hear friends talking about their first visits.
You know it is coming.
Today was our day...
I kind of always knew it would be Ruby.
I didn't think that I would be at the gym when it happened.
I also didn't think that I would very nearly pass
out as I watched them stitch her up.
I didn't think that I would end up sitting with my head
between my legs sweating and hoping that I could just keep
it about her and not me.
I also, had no idea that Wade would be so
interested in all of it.
Today was kind of crazy.
4 stitches later we are home.
I was certain that starting school would be
the biggest event of this week.
I think I was wrong.

Finally.....

We had some huge breakthroughs in the swimming
department last week! Hooray!
Both kids with faces in the water and under the water.
The last photo is the last day of lesson when
all the different groups do
a song together.

Sorry for the delay in posts we were having
some new camera difficulties.

bathtime

Everytime the kids take a bath I turn
the drain when it is time to get out.
They never want to get out.
Turning the drain always makes
them hop out as quick as they can.
Wade always says "Hurry Ruby you don't want
to get drained up".
They both are scared that they will go down
the drain even though I tell them they are too
big to fit down a drain.

Funny day, congrats Cousin Erica we can't wait
to meet baby Ava.
Rest in Peace Aunt Mary.
I hope your next life is a happier one.

Ruby in Storybook Land

Ruby set up this whole area to take a photo of
herself in this special crown.
She called the area "Storybook Land".
She had me take a photo and then she checked
it to make sure I got all the parts of
"Storybook Land" in the photo.
Notice the teddy bear on a skateboard?
That was the most important part.

She and I made the crown together.
