The Extraction

A week ago, Wade fell down and knocked two of his teeth loose. Yesterday we had to have an oral surgeon extract them. The nurses couldn't believe how amazing he was. He never cried, and barely complained. As you can see, it has only enhanced his cuteness. Keep smiling, Wadey!

Presents for Baby Ellie

I knitted her up this little hoodie.

Every girl needs one.

This is my go to baby sweater.

I really wanted to make sure that the kids got

to make her something too. Rather than just being

ignored by me while I made her something :)

Here is what we came up with.

We used fabric crayons. You just iron them

on when you are done.

I let the kids come up with the whole idea of

what they would draw.

As you can see above it is complete with "a bird

pooping on a car"...

as well as "a crazy clown with a gun".

I guess that is what cousins are for right?

That dress

Ruby fell in love with this dress from here.

I decided that $200 was way too much to spend

on a dress up for her.

We looked around for patterns and came

up with this one by McCalls as the closest match.

It was very confusing to her because on the pattern

envelope the dress is not all white.

Here it is! She loves it so much.

I had such a hard time trying to figure out

what to make it out of. It requires a lot

of yardage which would make it very expensive.

I settled on IKEA sheets! $2.00 each and

completely machine washable which is

very important for a dress up, esp.

one that is white!

The trim has been hanging around in my trim

box for years. I think it came from an estate sale.

Total cost including pattern $14!

And now a story by Ruby...

I think that the use of Greg' s foot is quite brilliant.

it got cut off but it is at last.
