In the dog house...

At Auntie Missy and Uncle Kenny's.

Old Friends

So, awhile back my very dear friend Christina and her
boyfriend Sean (above with Wade) came up to Portland for
a quick visit. They were so cute with the kids it was ridiculous.
Wade played cars on Sean the entire time they were here.
Ruby snuggled into Christina's lap and stayed there
for a really long time.
We got to go out and have a dinner without the kids
and I laughed harder than I have in a really long time.

It is so fun to have friends visit but so hard to say goodbye.
Can you please just move here now?

Nothing makes Wade happier than cars.

spiders and birds

Ruby being a very busy spider at a great park
in Oakland.

Caged birds in Dolores Park

We moved out of the kitty stage and into birds, bugs
and creatures from the sea.
Oh, and an occasional rodent.
So many critters, so little time.

Boogers

Last night Wade woke me up at 2am to
give me a booger that he had removed from his nose.
As his mother, he has decided that
I am the person that all boogers go to.
No matter what time it is.

Lucky me.

More SF fun..

Grandma Bev gave this big starfish to
Ruby for Christmas. We bought the little one
while we were away. Ruby decided that the starfish
needed to go visit the ocean so they had to come with.

These were all taken at Ocean Beach.
It was 65 degrees!!

Playing in SF

Auntie J (my sis) at the top of the rain forest.

We just got back from a fun trip to SF to visit Auntie JJ and Uncle T.
These photos are all from the newly refurbished California Academy of Sciences
in Golden Gate Park.
These pictures do it no justice but I tried.
It was amazing and you all must go.

In the Aquarium. It was breath-taking.

This is taken in the bottom of the rain forest.
There is a giant tank that you are underneath.
The kids thought it was the coolest thing ever.
It took awhile for Ruby to understand she
would not have to actually be under water to be under the
water. Hard point to explain to a five-year old.

If you look really hard you can see the people under the tank.

Us on the eco-roof.

No matter how new a place is the penguins are
always stinky...

We had so much fun. Thanks Auntie J!!
