Co-Pilots
Wade and I were walking down the street yesterday. A man came out of
a building listening to an ipod with really big headphones on. Wade looked
at me and said, "That man a co-pilot mama?".

Ruby brought this to me tonight. She said, "This is what Wadey should
be for Halloween". She then said, "all we really need is some cat ears, a cape and some face paint".
We had talked about him possibly being a ninja but she is totally right, this
is way better.
I, personally, cannot wait to see him in this get up.
I am just wondering how I am going to get him to wear one big shoe.

Sad, flat man at Crafty Wonderland
The kids were really into this guy outside the Doug Fir, where uncle
Kenny had his first show and sales of his fledgling painting career.
Go Kenny!

Wade played with his new airplane and both of his two uncles, both of
whom he just adores. Two uncles at the same time? Wadey heaven!

Bye Summer
Here is Ruby right before we left to start school on Monday.
This summer went by so fast.
Even though I am so happy every year when she goes back to school, it is always kind of bittersweet. My baby isn't a baby anymore and before I know it she is going to start kindergarten. Parenting is such a funny combo of wanting them to grow up and wanting them to stay little forever.

Ballet in the park
Last week we discovered another really cool thing about Portland. The Oregon Ballet Theater has their practices for one week in a tent in the park blocks downtown. It is free and open to anyone to come and watch. We went to check it out with some friends. Ruby loved it. Wade wasn't so interested but had a good time running around the tent.
Here is a little video of Ruby and her ballet concentration. She did this for about a half hour solid, very focused.
I can't wait to take her to one of their shows.
